- Rinse Kala Namak rice and soak for 20 minutes, then drain.
- Heat ghee/oil in a pan, add whole spices (cumin, bay leaf, cloves, cardamom).
- Add chopped onions, sauté until golden brown.
- Mix in ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
- Add chopped vegetables like carrots, peas, beans, and potatoes.
- Add soaked rice and sauté gently for 1–2 minutes.
- Pour in water (1:2 ratio), add salt, and cover to cook.
- Fluff gently and serve hot with raita or curry.
